Spiritual Practice

I enjoy sharing parts of my daily practice, anytime someone is open to listening.  Today's lesson suggests:  " we can embody the truth that we are simply part of the body of God, just as a wave is part of the ocean....rather than individual entities, our personas are rays of the sun we call divinity."

The Prosperity Transformers intend to participate in the 24th Annual Marketplace Festival & Health Fair, Dec 22nd and Dec 23rd.   I believe we can learn a lot from the African American Holiday Association (AAHA) a 501(c)(3), nation, non-profit, membership organization that perpetuates & perserves culture through traditional & non-traditional holidays, celebrations & Rituals since 1993.

What is the role of media?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 14, 2007:

As I see it, education and entertainment are worthy roles of media.  However, it appears mainstream media is NOW most often involved wtih manipulating the mind, body and spirit of the masses.

I started to feel as if media reporting was insulting to my intelligence, especially since the enormous public attention on the OJ trials and subsequent media coverage of more or less significant events (ie. Princess Diana, Dancing with the Stars, Brittany Spears, celebrity and reality mania, etc).
 
Recently I discovered FREESPEECHTV.ORG on dishtv or http://www.freespeech.org/, and experience something closer to truth.  See and hear for yourself what's being said by those not so attached to mainstream media conglomerates and other corporate elites.

I had the phenomenal pleasure of attending the Eastern Region of Unity Churches Youth Ed Director training retreat (Creating a Spirit-Guided Youth Program) at this wonderful location.  www.yogaville.com
Absolutely, “Truth is One, paths are many.” This wonderful creation overlooking the splendor of the James River and view of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a site to behold. I understand its the only place of its kind on the East Coast - Dedicated to the Light of All Faiths and to World Peace. Amen. For me, it is the realization of my search for that Truth which will make you free. The yoga lessons were a life awakening experience, excellent food, and spiritual seekers galore.  The Spiritual Discernment Process was enlightening.  And I am grateful.

The 10 Commandments are Coming!

This is the name of a original, one act play which will be presented by the youth at Unity Church of Fredericksburg on Father's Day, June 17th.  I am so excited.

I don't do sport.  But I am told Vince Lombardi started each new season stating "champions go back to the basics ..."  The 'basic instructions before leaving earth" offers a simple guide for creating a life of joy, happiness, peace, love, prosperity, all-good.
